Located in Clearwater, Florida, the main objective of the Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society is to make available the 2,600 year old teachings and meditation practices of the Buddha to the west coast of Florida.

You will find information about the DWMS’s resident monk, Bhante Dhammawansha, and our Dhamma Kids Sunday school group in our ‘About’ section.   Visit our ‘Buddhism’ link for the basics of meditation and see what we’re up to under ‘Events’.  In addition,  please come back to check out our ‘Media & Links’ section that includes a growing collection of media files, ‘veggie recipes’, and links that will hopefully be useful to your spiritual journey or simply to your curiosity ... EHIPASSIKO!

Above all, know that all are welcome to join us. If you wish to be added to our mailing list or have any questions visit our ‘Contact Us’ page.

Robe Ceremony 2014

“The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion.  It should transcend any personal god and avoid dogma and theology.  Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity.  Buddhism answers this description.  If there were any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.”
